RED MERCURY® LAUNCHES ACIDIMAGE™ 2.0 AT 2002 PC EXPO
New Image Viewer for Palm OS®
PC Expo, New York, NY - June 25, 2002 - Red Mercury, LLC, a handheld entertainment software company, announced today the release of AcidImage™ 2.0, an image viewer for Palm OS® that allows users to view their JPEG, GIF and BMP images directly from a Memory Card or Memory Stick®. AcidImage supports all resolutions, including the new 320x480 screens, and works on grayscale or color devices. A free demo of AcidImage is available for download on the Red Mercury web site (http://www.red-mercury.com).
According to Scott Corley, President of Red Mercury, LLC, the new product is astounding. “AcidImage makes image viewing simple on any Palm OS handheld,” said Corley. “No need to convert the images beforehand, just drop them in and go, great for showing off family photos. And our new image organizing features make AcidImage a must for heavy users like professional photographers.”
Finally! Digital Camera to Handheld
Handheld owners with digital cameras are usually scratching their heads... the Memory Stick fits in the camera, it fits in the Palm OS handheld... but why can't the handheld show the full resolution, 16-bit, JPEG image? Well now it can. AcidImage allows users to view images directly from a Memory Card on a Palm Powered™ handheld without converting them to any special format.
AcidImage supports five file formats: JPEG, GIF, BMP, PictureGear® Pocket and PhotoSuite® images. High resolution makes all of this really shine. AcidImage supports high resolution (320x320 and 320x480), normal resolution (160x160). AcidImage lets you put your favorite images into groups for quick organization and custom slide shows. Browsing images is a snap with the thumbnail view.
